Creating Crows

Artist's log: April 25, 2018, in the studio today. Using charcoal to add crows into this painting. I love the messiness and versatility of charcoal.

I began this work with many layers of brushed acrylic paint, magazine clippings and image transfers all on a natural wood panel before drawing into it with charcoal. I then carefully sealed the drawing portion with an additional layer of clear acrylic matte medium.
