    Paintings Acquired

    Jul 25, 2022 ·

The Spokane City Portable Works Collection has acquired Deforestation and A Better Future. They are on view at the newly remodeled Central Library in downtown Spokane, Washington in the Business Lab center.

These contemporary paintings explore the relationship between humans and their environment as well as the more expansive ecosystem. With climate change at the forefront of current events, I lay bare the truth of this man-made disaster that sometimes seems unsurmountable. Acknowledging facts is a crucial first step to adapting, recovering, and nurturing our earth back to a healthy sustainable habitat.

Both pieces are painstakingly composed of multiple layers of acrylic paint, charcoal, paper, tags, labels, metal and image transfers on canvas.
